  • 1983

Ph.D. at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) after his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the same university. The subject of his dissertation was: “Electronically Controlled Accumulator Injection System for Passenger Car Diesel Engines: theoretical and experimental studies”.

  • 1993

Ganser-Hydromag Ltd. supplied the injectors and the rail for the first diesel passenger car with a Common Rail injection system in the world (VW Golf). This car drove for about 75’000 kilometers on the road in a research project of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ).
